1 Kings 11:41–43, “And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon? And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years. And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.”
This passage is significant in many ways but we notice that a record off Solomon’s reign was kept in the official archives during his lifetime and was completed soon after his death. Even great Solomon couldn’t escape the demands of the curse. He died and returned to earth as God had said many years before that. Solomon had a long and prosperous life and then he died.
