The manna ceased

(The view expressed in this blog are my own and should not be taken as inspired in any way.)
Joshua 5:10–12, “And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho. And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day. And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.”
Gilgal was named in celebration of the fact that the Lord had rolled away the reproach of Egypt. The name “Gilgal” means “rolled away”. The Promised Land was a land flowing with milk and honey, it was a rich land with much to offer Israel. All the time that they had lived in the wilderness, the land there had not been fertile or sufficiently watered to support the nation so the Lord gave them the food and water they needed. However, once they were in the Promised Land, it was sufficient to give them all the food and water they needed so the Lord stopped giving them manna and let them live off the richness of the Land.
