David reigned

Would you like to read James McNaught’s novel Sinking Sand”? click here: Sinking Sand
(The view expressed in this blog are my own and should not be taken as inspired in any way.)
2 Samuel 8:15–18, “And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people. And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder; And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe; And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief rulers.”

David was a man after the Lord’s own heart and he trusted the Lord during all the difficult times in his life. Eventually, after the Lord had given David many valuable lessons, the Lord gave David the kingdom that he had been chosen to lead. The Lord gave David wise counsellors to rule with him and gifted military leaders to follow him and enlarge his kingdom, to the glory of God.
