The Flood of waters.

“And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.”

Noah had been working for a hundred years to get this ark build. He had not seen rain, in any form, all the days of his life yet he did what the Lord commanded him to do. Now, that he was six hundred years old the flood of waters came upon the earth. These days people want to see evidence before the commit to anything but we are told, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb 1: 11). Noah had faith and he did what he was told, he didn’t wait to see any evidence because he would have been running around with a saw trying to cut trees down while the water was washing him away. God requires faith for people who want to have a relationship with Him and if we have faith then everything will be prepared when the emergency arrives and we will survive to eternal life. There will be a day soon when, “if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:” (1 Thes 4: 14-16) Everyone who has faith and is ready will go to be with Him forever but those who don’t have faith won’t go to be with Him and will be in a lot of trouble.
