(The view expressed in this blog are my own and should not be taken as inspired in any way.)
“And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.”
Abraham entertained angels and then he went with them to start them on their journey. It is always good for any person who trusts the Lord to be willing to help the Lord’s servants on their way. It is not enough just to entertain them but to give them some more encouragement as they move along their way of service. It is also interesting to note that these angels did the Lord’s work with Abraham but then they had more work to do and so they moved on to do this work as well. We all have tasks allotted for us to complete along the way. If we don’t do these tasks then the Lord will find someone else to do them but that other person will not be able to do our task as well as we can. When we have done something there is no time to hang around and wait for praise because there is another task to do so we should get on with the next task. In the end the glory belongs to God and we should enjoy this fact because we have everlasting life through the Lord Jesus Christ and that is far better than any earthly praise.
