Psalm 49:15–20, “But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him. Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.”

Even though the rich and famous can’t do anything to help themselves, people who trust in the Lord know that He can keep them from the power of the grave. Anyone who trusts in themselves can’t take anything with them when they die. On the other hand, the Lord takes those who trust in Him to be with Him forever in Paradise.
